Best Meatloaf in U.S.A. Restaurants we have found

Of dozens of Meatloaf tried, there are only 5 outstanding places:

1. Ruth's Diner, Salt Lake City's emmigration canyon. Chargrilled makes it amazing.A

2. Garden Restaurant, downtown Salt Lake City, aop old Hotel Utah at Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Served only as an amazing sandwich. A-

3. BEST IN THE EASTERN U.S. WE'VE FOUND: Pennsylvania Dutch Farmer's Market, Annapolis, Maryland (Thursday-Saturdays).Must have ketchup coating on top to make it an A. Otherwise, a B/B+

4. Harvest Restaurant, Thanksgiving Point at Lehi, Utah. B+ meatloaf with glaze sauce. B+ alone.

5. Windy Ridge Cafe, Park City. B

6. Left Fork Grill, Midvale: meatloaf B, with ketchup on top B+
meatloaf with gravy B/B+
meatloaf in combo with mashed potatoes B+


DISCONTINUED: It was great, but now it's gone: Shoney's Restaurants, in the Southeast and Midwest, no longer has it on their menu, but their meatloaf was amazing in 1996. They may not even have the same recipe even if they did bring it back. 

Note that all the national chain restaurants, meatloaf is a C+ or B- at best, and we've tried them all plus at many, many mom-and-pop cafes. The above 4 are the only stand-outs so far.
