Best eggs in Utah

Usually the darker the yolk, the better the taste. Darker yolks come from higher quality, more natural feed for the hens. All cage free eggs taste better, but not all organic eggs taste great.

After testing about 50 brands of eggs sold in Utah markets, the following notes were recorded more recently. Most of them we tested against Eggland's Best Cage Free (non-organic), vegetarian fed chicken's eggs. When they did not compare favorably, I didn't even bother saving the notes. Wish I had. But these are the few, most recent notes I saved:

2017, November:

Note that between C and B+ are farmer's market eggs and eggs raised in back yards of neighbors. One friend's brown chickens with brown eggs tasted at a C; some white chickens, with white eggs, eating the same food at the same yard, rated B+!
